Calling All Swimmers!
I bet you're excited about the 2010 Aquatics Season. We are too -- and we're pleased to announce the detail as we have them at this time. Just as soon as we have more
information about the tournaments we'll post that information here, too!
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
| • | All swimmers, regardless of ability and age, are welcome to be a part of the South Region Stars Swim Team. |
| • | Our first practice is Saturday, January 9. On this day only, we'd like to have all swimmers join us from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. so that we can check abilities and assign groups. |
| • | Once groups are assigned, our younger swimmers and beginners typically swim from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Our older and more advanced swimmers join us from around 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. It is possible for a few advanced swimmers to join us during the earlier time slot; however, the only time for beginners is from 1 to 2 p.m. |
| • | All of our competitions are free, except for the state meet - which requires a $25 entry fee. This year we will participate in at least two Special Olympics competition and will also have a practice meet with the Eden Prairie Clownfish. |
| • | You must be registered with Special Olympics Minnesota and have a current medical form on file. (Click here to obtain the form) |
| • | Finally, don't forget to bring a water bottle, dry towels, and dry clothes to practice! |
PRACTICE:
We practice at Heritage Middle School in West St. Paul (on Butler Avenue) once a week from January through mid-April. Our beginners and athletes who need more assistance swim typically from 1 pm - 2 pm. Our more advanced swimmers practice from 2 pm - 3 pm.

COMPETITIONS
The South Region Stars competes in the Area games as well as in the State competition. On occasion we also participate in a regional competition and other local meets. There is no charge, except for a nominal fee if participating in the state meet (which we highly encourage).
